The All Ireland Semi Final of Mental Health Ireland's 31st National Public Speaking Project takes place in the Castletroy Park Hotel Limerick on Monday February 27th at 1.00pm. The participating team from Mayo is St Joseph's Secondary School Foxford and we wish them lots of luck.

Adjudicators' Citation:

We are a voluntary organisation founded in 1970 to promote positive mental health. We actively support persons with a mental illness and their families by identifying their needs and advocating their rights. For almost 40 years we have provided top quality accommodation in the community for persons with mental health problems. Our ethos is based on the spirit  of volunteerism and it is totally reliant on the time given unselfishly by the many volunteers who form the backbone of the organisation.

PROSPER is a Genio Trust funded project undertaken by the Mayo Recovery consortium, a collaborative working group of Mayo Advocacy Group (Service user) and voluntary sector service provider ( MAYO MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION) in collaboration with the HSE (Mayo Mental Health Services.) The group provides strategic direction for recovery policy to Mayo Mental Health Services and operational guidance to the Mayo Rehabilitation and Recovery Team.

Contrats to St Joseph's Secondary School Foxford who were successful in the Western Regional Final of the Mental Health Ireland  Public speaking project. We wish them all the best in the  All Ireland Semi Final which will be held in the next few weeks.

The Western Regional Final of Mental Health Ireland's National Public Speaking Project will be held in the Ard Ri House Hotel, Milltown Road, Tuam, Co Galway on Monday 23rd January 2012 at 1.30pm.
This event is open to anyone interested in the area of Positive Mental Health.
